Transportations

We can arrange transportation to and from Charlo, Bathurst, Presque'Isle or Mont-Joli airports.

Laundry/dry-cleaning

Please allow 48 hours for service from Matapedia.

Lockers

All Members are assigned a locker at the Matapedia Clubhouse. Care will be taken to avoid damage by freezing to any perishable contents left at the end of the season. The Club does not provide insurance on locker contents. Please arrange your own coverage.

Mail/delivery services

Delivery service is scheduled daily for food, refreshments, mail, newspapers, laundry and any personal needs.

Smoked salmon

Whole farm raised salmon, smoked by our staff using our traditional recipes, is available for purchase. The sizes vary.

Sundries

There is a small selection of personal hygiene items available at all lodges.

Meal hours & menus

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Mid-day meal: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Evening meal : from 6:30 p.m. on.

These hours are suggestions only.

Breakfast and the mid-day meal may be ordered directly from menus. The evening meal should be discussed with the dining room staff at breakfast to allow for preparation of your selections. The evening meal will consist of hot or cold dishes as requested, i.e. soups, casseroles, etc., and will be set up in a manner that will permit Members and their Guests to dine at their convenience. Certain items are not readily available at up-river camps, however, if your wishes are known ahead of time, we will do our best to comply. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements, or food allergies.

Alcoholic beverages

The Club offers wine, beer and premium spirits to Members and Guests. We will attempt to honor special requests.

Doctor/dentist

The services of a local doctor and a dentist are available as are ambulance and hospital services.

Electricity

(Pine Island only)

In order to conserve energy, diesel-powered electric generators may be shut down during daylight hours. If this procedure causes serious inconvenience, please speak to the caretaker.

Firearms

Prohibited by provincial game laws without special permit.

Fishing tackle

The Club can purchase lines, reels, rods, etc. and charge these items to a Guest's account. Minor repairs and maintenance can be done locally. A limited number of rental rods and reels are available.

Gratuities

Gratuities are included in our daily rate.

Guides

The Club provides guide services to Members and Guests. Your guide will provide an ample selection of flies and leader.

Communications

The Club’s Matapedia Lodge offers a complete range of telecommunication options.

Pine Island and Indian House Lodges do not have incoming phone service. Outgoing calls may be made by satellite phone. Cell phone coverage is not available on site.

Faxes, e-mails, etc. for Pine Island and Indian House, received by 10:00 am (EDT), will be delivered the same day.

Although our office number is monitored 24/7, we ask that you advise family, friends and business associates to limit calls of a non-emergency nature to normal business hours.

Emergency messages for Pine Island and Indian House are broadcast over an open radio network that may be monitored by anyone wishing to do so. To ensure as much privacy as possible, we will ask our guests to return your call via our satellite telephone system.
